I actually made a total of 48 wine scarves - 24 for my mother, 12 for a friend of hers, and 12 for a colleague of mine. The fact that I didn't have much trouble finding 24 different colors of yarn is indicative of my stash problem.

Mmmm...some of those colors among the 24 are pretty close. If your parents have a wine party and there are any color blind guests, I can only assume that there will be wine glass chaos.
Fair point, but the textures are different, and they look more different in real life than in the photo. What doesn't work for me is the concept that I'm supposed to remember what my color is for that particular party.
